Arrival
On the 15th of December 2006, Sea Ghost was delivered in Conwy, after having been lifted out of the Norfolk Broads the day before. Weather wise it could hardly have been a more miserable day.
I took the train at 6am, to arrive in Conwy at 7:30am. I then got a phone call from the
lorry driver saying that it was impossible to get to Conwy due to the low bridges.
Good start...
It just turned out that the transport company hadn't bother to pass on my
route instructions, and the driver had attempted to get into the old Conwy
town, with its medieval gates. The harbour master was kind enough to guide
the driver back onto the right path.
The unloading was a piece of cake and after a brief inspection, I returned home.
